In March our school sent two of its best English students to this year’s VEVA – the Vienna English Vocational Award. Honour could be achieved and prizes of € 150,00 – € 450,00 could be won, along with travel vouchers of € 50,00.

Carina Weingartshofer and Melvin Skrijelj competed with 21 apprentices from various other part-time vocational schools of Vienna. Successfully they managed the 3 tasks: “talking about yourself and your company”, “stating your own opinion on a given topic” and “presenting a web-quest on a company”. Ms Weingartshofer then was asked to perform in the final round, along with five other students. There she participated in a team-oriented discussion and impressed the jury with her excellent English talking skills.
